To take advantage of our SmarterDNS service you will need to make some adjustments to your networking settings. Heres how to make the required changes in an Ubuntu Linux System:

Step 1

Right click the network manager icon in the panel and choose "Edit" or "Edit Connections" (Varies from system to system)

Step 2

Select your main network connection from the wired or wireless tab, choose "Edit"[img src="http://support.vpnsecure.me/attachments/token/mcy9tmovi7hnhkp/?name=1.png" alt="1.png" data-mce-src="/attachments/token/mcy9tmovi7hnhkp/?name=1.png">

Choose Ipv4 settings tab

Step 4

Switch method to "Automatic (DHCP) addresses only"

Step 5

Enter the SmarterDNS server you want in the box "DNS Servers" and press "apply". You can get the server addresses to use from the members area by clicking "Servers" and "Server information". Once entered, hit "apply" and you're done!

Return to default

To return to default settings, repeat steps 1,2,3 of the guide, but then change method to "Automatic DHCP" and hit save.
